Sometimes, I think of flowers as simplistic, easy, everywhere, common and even obvious.

And they are.

AND they are joyful, life-affirming, creative and spontaneous acts and beings. They are little miracles of happiness sprinkled along our streets, on canvas and in vases in the kitchen. So common, essential and truly mysterious. …

But who really cares? What value proposition do they have for you? They certainly don’t make media headlines – usually. They don’t care to get your attention.

And they grow anyway. They bloom anyway. They persist and tell these little truths, if we listen. This is a crazy, insane, messed up world and the flowers bloom here anyway.

And for that, I hope. I kind of hope that I can’t know everything. And for this, I look to flowers and choose creation even when I want to let it go.
